1,000-1,500 SHU. A Mexican-Cuisine favorite, it is rising in popularity because of its explosive flavor. Great to dehydrate and then use for mole, salsas, and more! Produces in great quantities when tended to properly. Smokey, sweet, and not extremely spicy.

Finally sprouted, looks good so far!

I planted several kinds of tomatoes the same day, and they'd all been vigorously growing for some time before these hatched. Hoping my patience pays off :) I love trying new veggie varieties

I planted these 15 days ago. The peppers are coming up, about 1/8" above surface. I am expecting 💯 percent germination of the 12 seeds I planted. We are at least 2 months away from putting in the garden.

Dehydrated this pepper is incredible.
Adds a unique flavour to any dish.
Plants weren't in the best location in my garden but still gave me about 7 peppers per plant on average.

Poblano like flavor, but flowers & fruits much earlier in the season

This is a great variety to grow if you want poblano/ancho flavor, but don't want to wait well into the summer before standard poblano pepper plants flower and set fruit. This variety has the same flavor/texture as poblano, but flowers and sets fruit about 6 weeks earlier here in Michigan Zone 6A.
